I would just like wish the team all the best for the weekend which I hope will be safe and prosperous. Car 39 I am sure will not be turning up just for show. Give it your best. You have shown during the year this is the quickest Commodore in the field and I feel this will reflect during the weekend. Onceagain all the best. |

Well Paul says he is going to layback and let Russell do the Hard Yards. I guess this means he will do nominal practice time and be a true support base on the main day. Wise. At least he is giving Russell the recognition he deserves. |

It was great to see Car 39 in the Top Ten. Downside being Russell will be the first to attempt shootout and will be the pioneer as to track conditions. I am not being critical but the past has shown Russells best point has not been the shootout concept Well done and all the best. mattforcer39 i am not having a shot at you but Paul Weel was airlifted to Westmead Hospital which is approx 180klms from the track. I would not consider this nearby. Lets just wish Paul all the best and a speedy recovery. It was a pretty nasty incident and brings back memories of Mark Porters untimely death at the same place on the track. Regards. |

Bugger but good try. I do not know what was happening behind the scenes on the weekend but a couple of aspects really stood out - On Friday Paul was interviewed on T.V and he was wearing what looked like army fatigue with No.67 stuck to the shirt and displayed no enthusiasm or support for his sponsors. -On Saturday Paul was onceagain interviewed however this time he was wearing a red T shirt but still displayed the No.67. He did make mention of his sponsors and Russell but lacked any real interest. -On Saturday Russell himself was interviewed and appeared deflated overall. -The enlisted drivers for Car 67 who will report their experience overseas were given little to no exposure except when Matt Neil made an error (lets say a couple). Surely an interview with the both would have been in order.I will admit Boris Said was given nominal time in certain areas of the media. Surely in order to spice up the SCAR team presence their overseas contestants content could have been exploited more. I did find it interesting in the little we did know of Boris Said his outside interests include ownership of designer wear such as NO FEAR and SPY SUNGLASSES together with ownership of Go-Kart tracks. -Thence on Race Day Russell has the car sitting in third and with a blink of an eye with the car under Pauls guidance it has dropped right back through the field. Paul thence steps from the car and proceeds to tell the world some fellow competitor was Brain Dead. -The rest is history with the car experiencing problems beyond the teams insight and was unavoidable. Despite Pauls lack of diplomacy during the past I have always held respect for the man due to his achievements and his straight forward attitude however his overall display on the weekend to his sponsors, drivers and the general public was shameful and he seriously crossed the line in the sand. Better luck in future rounds Russell and you can still hold your head high as far as I am concerned because you are a fair dinkum good bloke who gives it his all and a credit to the sport. Regards. |

Commodore S 3 months ago | I apologise for the typing above. I do not know why it is displayed in such a fashion. You will get the gist of the gab anyway. |
