Commodore S 5 months ago | Thanks Lauren for your information. Good to see Russell near the pointy end. Qualifying will be interesting based on past performances. Hope the boys can put it together during the race. |

Commodore S 5 months ago | Sorry I forgot. I read Laurens and others posts regarding Russells indifference to her. I agree courtesy and rapport with your fan base is most important. I met Russell at Bathurst and found him most pleasant.I really don't think his attitude would change as he is a pretty lay back sort of guy. Keep the faith Lauren. Everyone has their bad days. |

Thanks for the msg mate but in the end i'm actually starting to really not enjoy the sport all together It seems to me, these days its only about money and politics. It's not "racing" its just everyone following eachother around the track and rules rules rules and more rules that they may aswell just have qualifying and then one lap race. As they said today i think (maybe wrong) but in the last couple of rounds it's pretty much who ever starts on P.1 will win... To me (and yes this is jst my opinion) it's all just getting a bit old...and really we arn't watching the tv to see safety car after safety car after add's and some more adds... Tony cockH**D may have done some good for the sport but in the end if something does not change then it'l go back to the way it was... no on been interested.. I totally agree with you mate that the coverage is below averge and |

Lauren I can see you are passionate about the sport. What I reckon it all boils down to "the men in suits" who control the sport. In lieu of endeavouring to control costs of the teams which should be their own responsibility the said "men in suits" should be concentrating on providing suitable tracks which would not only cater for V8 Supercars but other means of racing including Club Meets. In other words stand-alone race tracks with the appropriate infrastrucure. Take Townsville 2.8Klms long. Out of date before construction. I was involved with Bathurst Light Car Club some-time ago and we used this facility quite frequently for HillClimbs,Motorkana and flying one eights down Conrod. This was all done with the co-operation of all local bodies including the residents of the mountain. As regards Russell this year he seems intense about sponsorshipand its ramifications. Who knows what deal he is on with PMS and SCAR. Myself I could not think of a better person then Russell to be the Face behind SCAR who incidently the prime shareholder is Castrol. |
