Supercheap Auto Racing's Russell Ingall is banking on experience being the key to success and survival at this weekend's SKYCITY Triple Crown at Hidden Valley Raceway in Darwin.

Russell Ingall and the Supercheap Auto Racing team are back and in contention for race wins in the 2009 V8 Supercar Championship Series.
With the Supercheap Auto team having found an installation issue with his new SCAR Commodore late Friday night, Ingall instantly found the speed that had mysteriously been missing in the first three events of the season - earning a spot in Saturday's Top 10 qualifying Shootout then producing the fourth quickest lap.

V8 Supercar Champion Russell 'the Enforcer' Ingall says he's prepared to get his hands dirty to ensure Tasmania's Symmons Plains Raceway keeps its place on the V8 Supercar calendar.
For many years the circuit held a round of the Australian Touring Car/V8 Supercar Championship, but for four years - 2000 to 2003 - it was excluded from the series.

Supercheap Auto Racing rookie Tim Slade's back to basics weekend proved a great success with the 23 year old registering his first V8 Supercar Championship Points at Winton Motor Raceway on the weekend.
Slade had experienced a difficult start to his professional V8 Supercar career, not finishing any race at the opening two events of the season in Adelaide or Hamilton, so SCAR team owner Paul Morris made the decision last week to guide his young charge through the Winton weekend.

Russell Ingall is looking forward to stepping onto the plane Monday morning and heading back home to Australia after the Enforcer experienced an extremely difficult and trying weekend at the Hamilton 400 in New Zealand.
Coming into the event ninth in series points after the season opening Clipsal 500 in Adelaide last month, Ingall's Supercheap Auto Racing Commodore showed blazing speed out of the box during Friday's practice, fifth quickest around the tight and demanding 3.4km concrete lined street circuit.

Supercheap Auto Racing's Russell Ingall will be seeking redemption during the second round of the 2009 V8 Supercar Championship Series, the Hamilton 400 on the streets of Hamilton this weekend.
Last year Ingall caused a media frenzy in New Zealand when he predicted the brand new street circuit would create a crash-fest and while his predictions came true, unbeknownst to him, they would include him too - on lap one of Race 1 - virtually ruining the 2005 V8 Champion's weekend.

Russell Ingall scored Supercheap Auto Racing's first podium of the young 2009 V8 Supercar season with a fine third place finish in today's final race for the Sprint Gas Manufacturer's Challenge at the ING Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne. It was a fine drive and comeback by Ingall, who was third fastest during Thursday's practice session but qualified only 16th best later that day when a red flag halted a certain top five grid when on his fastest lap.The weekend looked like it would then go from bad to worse for the 2005 V8 Supercar Champion when he failed to finish Friday evening's first 15 lap race after the steering broke in the #39 SCAR Commodore following contact with another car.

Russell Ingall has stormed from the last row of the grid to finish tonight's second race for the Sprint Gas Manufacturer's Challenge at Albert Park in 12th position.
Ingall failed to finish last night's first race when his #39 Supercheap Auto Racing Commodore received damage to its steering following contact with two other cars.
The 2005 V8 Supercar Champion had to start tonight's race from 27th position on the grid but by the end of the first lap had already moved nine places forward to 18th position. He continued to move forward over the remaining laps and was as high as 11th but lost one position to fellow Holden driver Jason Bargwanna on the 15th and final lap.

Russell Ingall was seeing red at Albert Park this afternoon after qualifying for the Sprint Gas Manufacturer's Challenge.
On his fastest flying lap, Ingall was 0.64secs up on his previous best time in the #39 Supercheap Auto Racing Commodore and looking to easily vault into the top five until the red flag was flown for Dean Fiore's beached Team Kiwi Commodore ending Ingall's run.
Rather than taking his place in the top 10 shootout to determine the final grid positions, Ingall will now line up for tomorrow's first 15 lap race on the eighth row of the grid.

Ingall Ninth In Points After Clipsal 500, Supercheap Auto Commodores Better Suited To Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit

Supercheap Auto Racing's Russell Ingall comes into this weekend's non-championship Manufacturer's Challenge in Melbourne with more confidence following a testing time at the season-opening Clipsal 500 last week.
A multiple winner in Melbourne, Ingall believes the fast flowing Grand Prix circuit better suits the setup of his car than the tough Adelaide street circuit - the Supercheap Auto Commodore struggling over Clipsal's notorious kerbs.
Rookie team-mate Tim Slade arrives in Melbourne after a humbling experience at his debut race, the 23 year old having performed above expectations in practice and qualifying but then failing to finish both 78 lap races.

Supercheap Auto Racing's Enforcer, Russell Ingall has left Adelaide ninth place in points following the 11th running of the Clipsal 500, the opening round of the 2009 V8 Supercar Championship Series.
After a tremendous opening day, rookie team-mate Tim Slade did not enjoy the same racing success, the 23 year old again failing to finish today's race.
Having come home eighth in yesterday's tough 78 lap opener, his feet badly blistered from the intense floor temperatures - higher this year thanks to the move to the more environmentally friendly ethanol E85 fuel, which increases exhaust temperatures - Ingall had to begin today's race back in 16th due to new series qualifying regulations.

Supercheap Auto Racing's Russell Ingall has finished today's first race for the Clipsal 500 eighth - the 2005 V8 Supercar Champion saying the conditions were the toughest he had ever experienced at his hometown race.
Ingall's team-mate Tim Slade was also hit hard by the conditions, the 23 year old failing to finish today's race after making an error and damaging the front suspension on his Supercheap Auto Commodore.
Ingall made a great start in the 250km race, moving from 16th to 12th by the end of the first lap and breaking into the top 10 by lap 12.

featuring a striking team livery that is just like him - bright, colourful and aggressive.
The distinctive paintwork adorns a VE Commodore that has been built specifically for Ingall's
'09 campaign at the team's Gold Coast headquarters, and has drawn on every lesson and
trick the team learned in his highly successful first season with the team last year.
The team was awarded V8 Supercars' trophy for Most Improved Team, largely on the back of

The team gambled on keeping Ingall on slick tyres in the rain-effected race in the hope of the 2.4km track drying quickly from a slight rain shower, and Ingall's #39 Supercheap Auto Commodore led for 11 laps, but the anticipated winds which would have made the gamble appear to be a stroke of genius arrived just five minutes too late, Ingall sliding his way back to 13th by the end of 50 laps.
